CKA Systems is a UK-based sole trader providing website design, development and support services to tradesmen and small businesses.
By purchasing services from CKA Systems, you agree to these terms.
2. Services Provided
Services may include:
- Custom website design and build
- Hosting (if on Care & Support Plan)
- SSL setup
- Maintenance and minor updates (where included)
- Optional automation tools (Pro plan)
Service details vary depending on the selected tier.
3. Payment Terms
3.1 Build Fee
A 50% deposit is required before work begins. The remaining 50% balance is due prior to the website going live. The website will not be made publicly available until the outstanding balance has been received.
3.2 Monthly Managed Hosting & Support
Managed hosting & support operates on a rolling monthly basis from the website launch date. Monthly fees are billed in advance.
Failure to pay monthly fees may result in suspension of hosting and related services until payment is received.
4. Refund & Cancellation Policy
4.1 Build Fees
Due to the custom nature of the work, deposits and build fees are non-refundable once development has commenced.
4.2 Managed Hosting & Support
Services operate on a rolling monthly basis. Either party may cancel by providing 30 days’ written notice. Hosting and maintenance will continue until the notice period completes. No refunds are issued for partial months remaining after cancellation.
5. Ownership & Domain
5.1 Website Ownership
Upon full payment of all build fees, the client owns the website design and content.
If the managed plan is cancelled, full site files (HTML, CSS and associated assets) will be provided once the notice period completes. The client is responsible for arranging alternative hosting.
5.2 Domain Ownership
Domains are registered in the client’s business name. We manage renewals and DNS configuration as part of the managed service. Ownership remains with the client at all times.
6. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Supply branding materials if available
- Respond to feedback requests
- Approve the website prior to launch
- Ensure all supplied text, images, logos and other materials are owned by them or properly licensed for use
6.X Content & Copyright Responsibility
The client confirms that all text, images, logos and other materials supplied for use on the website are owned by them or that they have permission to use them. We are not responsible for verifying ownership of client-supplied materials. Any claims arising from unauthorised use of content provided by the client remain the responsibility of the client.
7. Revisions
Two rounds of revisions are included unless otherwise agreed. Additional revisions may incur charges.
8. Limitation of Liability
Third-Party Services
The website may rely on third-party services including but not limited to hosting providers, domain registrars, payment processors, analytics tools, and other external platforms. We are not liable for downtime, service interruptions, data loss, security breaches or performance issues caused by third-party providers beyond our direct control. While we take reasonable steps to select reliable providers, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service from external services.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to server outages, internet disruption, cyber attacks, power failures, natural disasters or other external events.
CKA Systems is not liable for:
- Loss of business or revenue
- Search engine ranking performance
- Third-party outages
- Misuse of the website by the client
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
