My Bills

Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 17 September 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of My Bills – Budget Planner (“My Bills”, the “App”), provided by CKA Systems. By downloading, installing, purchasing through, or using My Bills, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or replaces any statutory consumer rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

1. About My Bills

My Bills is a personal budgeting and bill-planning tool. It helps you record bills, income and other planning information, organise items, set reminders, create savings pots, and calculate a “Safe To Spend” figure based on information held in the App.

My Bills is not a bank, payment service, lender, credit broker, investment service, debt-advice service or financial adviser. It does not connect to your bank account or financial institution and it does not move, hold or manage money on your behalf.

2. Your responsibility for financial information

My Bills relies on information entered, selected or maintained by you. You are responsible for checking that amounts, dates, recurrence rules, balances, categories and payment or receipt statuses are correct.

The App's calculations are planning aids only. Safe To Spend = Current Balance + income still to come − bills still to come for the selected budget period, using the items included in your active budget. Current Balance is manually maintained: marking a bill paid or income received does not automatically change it. Savings Pots track information only and do not deduct money from Current Balance or Safe To Spend.

Current Balance is specific to each budget period. Browsing another period does not copy the previous period's balance into it. An explicit change to your budget-period settings transfers the currently active balance to the newly defined active period while retaining the source period's saved balance.

A Calendar month runs from the 1st to the end of the month. A custom start day can align your budget with when you receive your main income, such as wages or benefits: for example, the 7th to the 6th of the following month. Changing the budget period changes the budgeting window, not the actual dates of your bills or income, so items may fall into a different period.

Check the scope of any amount or recurring-item edit and review the resulting figures. You should not rely on the App as the sole record of a payment deadline, contractual obligation, bank balance or other financial commitment. These responsibilities do not remove your statutory rights if the App is faulty or not as described.

3. Free access and My Bills Premium

All App features are available on Free, including Custom Categories, category assignment and Category view. Premium removes the Bill and Income quantity limits only.

Free users may normally create up to 8 Bills and 5 Income items. These limits apply to saved source items, not to the individual occurrences generated by a recurring item. The special locked-selection rules below apply when an over-limit collection is retained after Premium ends, an App update or a backup restore.

While a valid My Bills Premium entitlement is active, you can have unlimited Bills and Income items. Monthly and annual subscriptions provide the same Premium entitlement; only the billing period differs.

When Premium ends

Cancelling automatic renewal does not itself end an already-paid entitlement. The following rules apply when Google Play confirms that you no longer have an active Premium entitlement, not merely because you have cancelled renewal or a verification check is temporarily unavailable:

The same over-limit selection rules apply when an App update or backup restore finds more than the Free limits and Google Play verifies that you are on Free. Restoring a financial backup does not grant Premium or reset an existing locked selection.

Premium verification

Purchasing, restoring and checking Premium depend on Google Play and may require an internet connection. The App can retain a last-known status locally during a temporary verification failure, but that is not a new purchase or proof that a subscription has renewed. An unavailable check is not by itself treated as an expired subscription. Adding an item beyond the Free limit requires verified Premium; otherwise the App can ask you to check your connection and retry.

Existing valid non-subscription Premium entitlements, where previously granted, remain recognised. Feature availability may evolve through App updates, subject to your paid-period entitlements and statutory consumer rights.

4. Subscription purchase, renewal and price

My Bills Premium is purchased through Google Play. CKA Systems does not sell subscriptions or take payment through the CKA Systems website. The App offers monthly and annual auto-renewing plans, subject to availability in your Google Play region and account. Both plans remove the same Bill and Income quantity limits.

These UK reference prices are stated as at the Last updated date. The actual price, currency, applicable taxes, billing period and renewal terms for your purchase are shown by Google Play and/or in the App before you confirm. Prices can differ by region or an expressly offered promotion. The Google Play confirmation identifies the terms you are agreeing to; no trial or discount is promised unless it is explicitly offered.

Unless you cancel automatic renewal, your selected plan renews at the end of each monthly or annual billing period and Google Play charges the payment method associated with the purchasing Google account. Any future price change is subject to the notices, consent requirements and cancellation rights required by Google Play and applicable law.

Deleting or uninstalling My Bills does not cancel a subscription. Changing a budget period or the display currency inside My Bills does not change the billing cycle or currency of your Google Play subscription.

5. Managing or cancelling Premium

Open Settings → Subscription → Manage Subscription in My Bills, or open Google Play's Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions area using the Google account that made the purchase. Select My Bills and follow Google's cancellation or management instructions.

You can cancel automatic renewal for either the monthly or annual plan. Premium normally continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. For example, cancelling an annual plan during the year normally stops the next annual renewal; it does not immediately remove the remaining paid access.

Cancellation of renewal does not itself promise a refund for unused time. Your refund, cooling-off and other statutory rights remain unaffected. Where Google Play or applicable law provides immediate cancellation, a refund or revocation, access may end at the time specified by that process.

For platform instructions, see Google Play: cancel, pause or change a subscription. Only options actually offered for your plan and account are available.

6. Payments and refunds

Google Play processes subscription payments, renewals and eligible refunds. CKA Systems does not receive or store your payment-card or bank-account credentials. Google may make limited order and subscription information available to CKA Systems through its developer tools for purchase support and administration, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

You can request a refund using Google Play's applicable process, and you can contact CKA Systems about a purchase or an App problem. Refund requests are assessed under the applicable Google Play rules and consumer law. Google Play's policies do not replace or limit statutory rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Reminders and notifications

My Bills can schedule local reminders for bills and income. Notification delivery depends on Android, device settings, battery optimisation, notification permissions and, where applicable, access to exact alarms. Delivery at an exact time cannot be guaranteed in every circumstance.

Reminders are a convenience feature only. You remain responsible for meeting payment dates and other obligations even if a notification is delayed, suppressed or not delivered.

8. Widgets and information shown on your device

My Bills can provide Android home-screen widgets showing budgeting summaries. Information displayed in a widget may be visible to anyone who can view your device’s home screen. You are responsible for using appropriate device security and choosing whether to add or remove widgets.

9. Local data, Android backup and manual backups

Budgeting content entered into My Bills is primarily stored in the App's local storage on your device. CKA Systems does not operate a My Bills user-account system or upload your budgeting records to a CKA Systems budgeting-data server.

Depending on your Android and Google account backup settings, Android's system backup service may copy or restore some App data, including after reinstalling the App. That service is controlled by Android/Google rather than CKA Systems.

My Bills also lets you create a manual JSON backup and choose where to save or share it. It can contain your financial records, category assignments, supported settings and any locked Free-tier selection metadata. Exported backup files may contain sensitive financial-planning information and are not encrypted by My Bills. Store and share them securely.

Restoring a backup replaces the supported budgeting data and settings on the device; it is not a merge with your current records. Make a current backup before restoring an older one. An existing locked Free-tier selection on the device is preserved rather than overwritten by the incoming backup.

Manual backups do not transfer Premium entitlement or your Analytics consent choice. Google Play verifies Premium separately, and restoring a backup does not grant consent for Analytics. Not every device preference is included in a manual backup.

10. Privacy and analytics

My Bills offers optional, privacy-limited Firebase Analytics to understand broad App usage and improve the product. Analytics collection is disabled by default and is enabled only after you choose Allow usage analytics. Choosing No thanks does not restrict any budgeting feature. Agreeing to these Terms is not consent to optional Analytics.

You can change this choice at any time using Usage analytics in Settings. It is under Privacy in the released 1.5.0 layout, or Data & Privacy in versions with the reorganised Settings layout.

Turning Analytics off stops future collection and My Bills asks Firebase to clear locally held Analytics data for the App instance and reset its Analytics app-instance identifier. Information already transmitted before you turned Analytics off may remain with Google/Firebase for the applicable retention period. The current retention settings are stated in the My Bills Privacy Policy.

Custom Analytics events do not include bill, income or savings-pot names, notes, Current Balance, Safe To Spend, budgeting amounts, user-entered financial dates, search text or content-revealing record identifiers. Depending on the installed version, fixed screen names and generic configuration choices may be recorded, such as Date/Category view and whether Search, Savings, Overdue or Completed is shown. These are feature-use signals, not the financial content of those sections.

Google/Firebase may also process App/device metadata, a pseudonymous app-instance identifier and subscription/purchase analytics, including product identifiers and purchase prices. A Premium subscription price is distinct from an amount in your personal budget.

My Bills does not display advertising. Advertising-ID collection, ad storage, ad-user-data and ad-personalisation signals are disabled in the App's configuration. Google/Firebase dependencies can still contribute advertising-ID-related Android permissions; the presence of a permission is separate from whether collection is enabled.

More detail is set out in the My Bills Privacy Policy.

11. No financial, legal or professional advice

Nothing in My Bills constitutes financial, investment, credit, debt, banking, tax or legal advice. You should independently verify information and obtain professional advice where appropriate.

12. Intellectual property and licence

My Bills, including its software, interface, branding, graphics and related materials, is owned by CKA Systems and/or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Subject to these Terms and Google Play’s applicable licensing terms, CKA Systems grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use My Bills on compatible devices for your own lawful purposes.

13. Acceptable use

You must not:

14. Availability, compatibility and updates

CKA Systems may update My Bills to improve functionality, security, compatibility or compliance. Some features depend on Android, Google Play, Firebase, device manufacturers or other services outside CKA Systems’ control.

CKA Systems does not promise that every feature will be available on every device or Android version, or that the App will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Any warranties or remedies required by law continue to apply.

15. Limitation of liability

CKA Systems remains responsible for loss or damage for which it is liable under applicable law, including foreseeable loss caused by a breach of these Terms or a failure to use reasonable care and skill where required. Loss is foreseeable if it was an obvious consequence or was reasonably within both parties' contemplation when the contract was made.

CKA Systems is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or that were not caused by its breach, negligence or other failure for which the law makes it responsible. Incorrect user input, device settings, third-party outages or insecure handling of exported backups may affect the App, but those factors do not excuse CKA Systems from its own legal responsibilities.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights and remedies for faulty or misdescribed digital content or services.

16. Suspension or termination

You may stop using My Bills at any time. CKA Systems may suspend access to services it controls where reasonably necessary for security, legal or platform-compliance reasons. Any effect on paid subscription rights remains subject to Google Play rules and applicable consumer law.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live in another country, this choice of law does not remove mandatory consumer protections or rights that apply in your country of residence.

Where the law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts, these Terms do not take that right away.

18. Changes to these Terms

CKA Systems may update these Terms when the App, law or platform requirements change. Changes apply prospectively. Where reasonably practicable, material changes will be communicated through the App or website. The “Last updated” date will identify the current version.
