The terms for using Lune
These Terms of Use ("Terms") form an agreement between you and CKA Systems, an independent software business based in England, United Kingdom, for your use of the Lune Android application and any Lune Premium subscription.
Google Play may impose additional terms for downloading the app, making purchases and managing subscriptions. Where Google Play's terms apply to payment or distribution, you must also comply with them.
Lune is not directed to children under 13. A person under 13 must not use Lune without the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian. If you are aged 13 to 17, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian before purchasing a Premium subscription.
Subject to these Terms and applicable Google Play rules, CKA Systems grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use Lune on compatible devices that you own or control, for private and non-commercial purposes.
You may not sell, rent, sublicense, redistribute, reverse engineer, bypass security or subscription controls, interfere with the app, use it unlawfully, or copy substantial parts of Lune except where applicable law expressly permits this.
Lune helps you record menstrual-cycle information, view your history, receive local reminders and generate estimates or patterns from the data you enter. Features may vary between the Free and Premium tiers and may depend on your settings, the amount and quality of data logged, device compatibility and Android permissions.
You must not rely on Lune to diagnose a condition, determine whether you are pregnant, decide whether medical care is needed, or replace professional advice. Seek urgent medical help where symptoms or circumstances require it.
Enter information carefully and understand that missing, inaccurate or unusual data can affect estimates.
Keep your device, Google account, PINs and backup passwords secure.
Review notification wording and lock-screen settings if privacy around reminders is important.
Create and retain encrypted backups where losing local records would matter to you.
Do not share PINs, backup passwords or sensitive files with people you do not trust.
Use Burner PIN and Delete All Data only when you intend permanent local deletion.
Use the app only for lawful, personal purposes and do not attempt to defeat Premium controls or app security.
Lune is designed as a private, offline-first app. Your cycle records are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to CKA Systems servers. Details are set out in the Lune Privacy Policy.

No software or device is completely secure. Optional PIN, biometric unlock, Burner PIN, encrypted backups and Stealth Mode reduce particular risks but do not guarantee secrecy, prevent every form of access, or replace secure device settings. Stealth Mode changes the launcher identity only and does not hide all evidence that the app is installed or used.
Lune may allow you to create and restore an encrypted backup. The backup password is known only to you and cannot be recovered by CKA Systems. You are responsible for keeping the backup file and password secure and available.
Restoring a backup may replace data currently stored in the app. Deleting data in Lune does not delete backup copies saved elsewhere. CKA Systems is not responsible for loss caused by forgetting a password, deleting a backup, losing or damaging a device, using an incompatible or corrupted file, or sharing a backup with another person, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Lune offers a permanent Free tier and optional Premium features. Premium may include advanced predictions, confidence information, pattern and trend insights, enhanced calendar intelligence, privacy features and other functionality described in the app at the time of purchase.
The precise feature set may evolve as Lune is improved. We will not deliberately remove the core benefit of a paid subscription during an active billing period without providing an appropriate remedy where required by law. Some features require sufficient logged history or a compatible device and therefore may not produce meaningful results immediately.
Lune Premium is offered through Google Play using the billing periods and prices shown before you confirm purchase. Unless Google Play clearly states otherwise, a subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period and Google charges the payment method linked to your Google account.
You can manage or cancel Lune Premium through Google Play subscriptions.
Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, so Premium access generally continues until then.
Uninstalling Lune does not cancel a subscription.
A free trial or introductory offer applies only when it is expressly shown before purchase and is governed by the displayed terms.
Prices and taxes may vary by country and may change in accordance with Google Play rules and applicable law.
Refund eligibility is determined by Google Play policies and your mandatory legal rights.

The app may cache entitlement status locally to support offline use. From time to time, an internet connection and successful Google Play verification may be needed to purchase, restore or confirm Premium access.
We may release updates to fix defects, improve security, maintain compatibility, add features or comply with law and platform requirements. Certain updates may be necessary for Lune to continue functioning safely. Device manufacturers, Android and Google Play can also affect compatibility or availability outside CKA Systems' control.
We aim to keep Lune available and reliable but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Offline core functions reduce dependence on network services, but purchases, restore-purchase checks and store distribution depend on Google Play.
Lune, its software, design, text, branding and other original materials are owned by or licensed to CKA Systems and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant a right to use Lune; they do not transfer ownership to you. Your cycle records and notes remain yours.
Lune interacts with services supplied by others, including Android, Google Play billing, device biometric authentication and any file-storage or sharing service you choose. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. CKA Systems is not responsible for a third-party service except to the extent required by law.
You may stop using Lune at any time. You may delete local data and uninstall the app, but you must separately cancel an active subscription through Google Play to stop future renewals.
We may terminate this licence if you materially breach these Terms, misuse the app, infringe our rights or attempt to compromise Lune or its users. Termination does not remove rights or liabilities that arose before termination and does not automatically create a refund entitlement.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your statutory consumer rights. Lune will be supplied with the care and quality required by applicable consumer law.
CKA Systems is responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses arising from personal use, or for loss caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, except where the law requires otherwise.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be limited.
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Lune, Google Play requirements or applicable law. The latest version will state its effective date. Where a change materially affects an active paid service, we will provide notice or another remedy where required by law. Continuing to use Lune after a non-material update takes effect means the updated Terms apply from that date.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you retain any mandatory protections provided by the law of your country or region. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, but this does not prevent you from using the courts of the part of the United Kingdom or other jurisdiction in which consumer law gives you that right.
